.... to the website of CLARRIE DUNBAR INDOOR BOWLING CLUB. Clarrie Dunbar Indoor Bowls Club is located just off the A36 Bath to Salisbury road. The club sits in the centre of Standerwick Village, near the Bell Inn, a short distance from the Somerset town of Frome and the Wiltshire towns of Trowbridge, Westbury and Warminster.

CLARRIE DUNBAR INDOOR BOWLING CLUB has a excellent blend of bowling, ranging from friendly get-togethers to the most competitive of games. Clarrie Dunbar's Men were the Wessex League Champions 2008-9 and Clarrie Ladies were finalists of the Presidents Cup in 2009-10 and 2010-11. Bowlers from Clarrie Dunbar frequently represent the club at National Competitions and represent Somerset in Inter-County and Patron fixtures. Clarrie bowler Graham Shadwell is a regular England International and was selected to represent his country at the Commonwealth Games in October 2010, bringing home a Bronze Medal. Indoor Bowls is truly a Sport for All; All Ages, All Abilities and All Year. Learn to play sessions are free of charge, contact the club for details or come along to one of our Open Days or Barefoot Bowling Evenings and have a go. Clarrie Dunbar has 4 bowling rinks, a bar, a restaurant (bar snacks available anytime) and free ample car parking.

Indoor Bowls is Skittles with extra dimension and finest. Similar to Ten Pin Bowling, Indoor Bowling or Bowls requires special shoes to protect the bowling rink, this is where the simularity ends. Ten Pin Bowling relys on spin to make the balls curve, Indoor bowls are shaped to give the bias for the curved path, precision and finesse is required to play.
